Scripture: Lamentations 3:22-23 (KJV)
“It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

Some mornings begin with strength, and others begin with the weight of yesterday still pressing on the heart. We may wake up carrying regrets, worries, unfinished burdens, or questions we cannot answer. Yet before our feet touch the floor, God’s mercy is already there.

Jeremiah wrote these words in a season of sorrow, yet he found hope in the unchanging compassion of the Lord. Circumstances may shift, emotions may rise and fall, and people may disappoint us, but God’s faithfulness remains steady.

His mercies are not leftovers from yesterday. They are new every morning. That means today has fresh grace, fresh help, fresh patience, and fresh strength from the hand of God. He does not grow tired of sustaining His children.

You may feel weak, but you are held by a faithful Father. You may not know how everything will work out, but you can trust the One who has never failed. His compassion does not run dry, and His promises do not expire.

Do not let yesterday’s burden steal today’s mercy. The Lord has met you with grace again, and His faithfulness is enough for this day.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your mercies that are new every morning. When I feel weary or uncertain, remind me that Your compassion never fails. Help me to trust Your faithfulness today and rest in the grace You provide. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Reflection Question:
What burden from yesterday do you need to release so you can receive God’s fresh mercy today?
