Jesus taught us to pray with dependence, not only for the great needs of life, but for the daily ones. “Give us this day our daily bread” reminds us that we are invited to trust the Father one day at a time.

Sometimes we want God to show us the whole supply for the whole journey. We want assurance for tomorrow, next week, next month, and every unknown detail ahead. But the Lord often teaches us faith by providing what is needed for today.

Daily bread is more than food on the table. It is strength for the task, wisdom for the decision, patience for the burden, grace for the conversation, and peace for the hour we are living in. God knows what His children need before they ask, and He is faithful to provide.

When Israel gathered manna in the wilderness, they could not store up enough to avoid trusting God the next morning. Each day became another opportunity to learn that the Lord could be depended upon again.

Do not let tomorrow’s concerns rob you of today’s provision. Ask your Father for daily bread, receive His grace for this moment, and trust that the God who provides today will still be faithful tomorrow.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for caring about my daily needs. Teach me to depend on You one day at a time. Give me the strength, wisdom, peace, and grace I need today, and help me trust You with tomorrow. In Jesus’ name, amen.
