Morning has a way of reminding us that God’s mercy is still present. Even after difficult nights, heavy burdens, or uncertain seasons, the Lord allows us to rise again under the covering of His grace.

David spoke of singing aloud of God’s mercy in the morning because he had learned that the Lord was his defense and refuge. Trouble may have surrounded him, but it did not have the final word. God’s protection and compassion gave him a reason to praise before the day had fully unfolded.

There will be mornings when praise feels natural, and there will be mornings when praise must be chosen by faith. Either way, God is worthy. His mercy has carried us farther than we know, protected us in ways we did not see, and sustained us through moments we could not have endured alone.

Do not begin the day only by measuring the weight of your responsibilities. Begin by remembering the mercy of God. Before you face the demands ahead, let your heart rest in the truth that the Lord has been your refuge.

A new morning is more than another date on the calendar. It is another invitation to trust, another opportunity to worship, and another testimony that God’s mercy has not failed.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for mercy that meets me in the morning. Help me to begin this day with praise instead of worry. Be my defense, my refuge, and my strength in every trouble I face. Teach my heart to sing of Your goodness. In Jesus’ name, amen.
