Acts 1 and Acts 2 show us the turning point of the early church — the moment when ordinary men and women became bold witnesses through the power of the Holy Ghost. Jesus ascended, but He did not leave His people helpless. He told them to wait, to pray, and to expect the promise of the Father.They didn’t rush ahead. They didn’t scatter. They didn’t try to build the church in their own strength. They waited.
And in Acts 2, the waiting turned into power. The Holy Ghost filled the room, filled their hearts, and filled their voices. Fear turned into courage. Silence turned into preaching. Weakness turned into boldness. The church was born in a moment of divine fire.
These chapters remind us that God still works the same way today. He calls us to wait on Him, to seek Him, and to trust His timing. And when His Spirit moves, everything changes — our thoughts, our words, our direction, and our purpose.

Take a moment today and ask yourself: Am I trying to walk in my own strength, or am I waiting for His power? The same Spirit that filled the upper room is still filling hearts today.
Father, thank You for the promise of the Holy Ghost. Fill me with Your power today. Strengthen my walk, guide my steps, and help me live with the boldness that comes only from Your Spirit. Amen.
